︎ People of Faro - 2019-2020
The People of Faro project is developed by Beste Kanter as a part of the European Solidarity Corps program supported by Erasmus+.
The aim was to show what the city of Faro really is, creating links between the city and the local population, bringing its potential to the surface.
Beste wanted to explore and analyze the different elements that create Faro, including the local population's thoughts and imagery of their city. The result of this dialog is an interview that presents the local population's perspective and vision of the city.
This project belongs to Contextos, a well-established cooperative located in Faro, Portugal. It was founded in 2016.
Contextos aims at fostering and supporting the empowerment of youth generations as the keystone of processes of change in the society,
using participatory tools to develop competencies and capabilities within individuals and organizations.
